JESUS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD
OUR PASTOR
Pastor Laurence came to know the LORD, year 2000, month of December when he joined a Christmas Institute (CI), an event designed for youngsters by his denomination, the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP). It was then he came to know Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and committed his life to Him as instrument in bringing others
in relationship with Him.
He studied at World Mission Seminary for his Bachelor and Masteral Degree where Pastor met his wife Missionary Jin su Lim (Ruth), who was been a campus minister in South Korea during her college days as a Environmental Engineering student. They are blessed with three boys- Chesed, Chen and Cherem. Currently, he is taking his Doctoral degree at
Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio City.
At present, the LORD entrusted them through Jesus
the Light of the World with 37 adults, youths/young professionals and 35 children in counting. Through our church people will come to know the Light, Jesus Christ, and be a light to the world.
OUR CHURCH
World Mission Church (WMC) began way back 1991 headed by Korean couple and Missionaries with a Filipino Pastor, namely, Rev. Eun Tae Lee, Rev. Choon Ja Kim and Rev. Dr. Moises Gabuyo. For twenty three years WMC was able to established thirty five churches in the provinces of Cavite
and Isabela.
Jesus the Light of the World was one of the churches that WMC established and located at Primarosa North Village, Mambog 3, Bacoor City, Cavite. The first worship service held year 2004, month of July and was headed by
Ptr. Victor Darol, Missionary Jin su Lim (Ruth)
and Ptr. Laurence Mascay.
For eleven years, JLW held it's worship services and special church events at rental houses and a covered court located at the said village. Our church had have co-workers from World Mission Seminary, located at Inocencio, Trece Martirez City, Cavite - christian Gaid, Joseph Climacosa, Rachel ann Alila, Caleb dela Cruz, Menard Antido,
Esau Carpiano, Cristine Sabinet, Jennybeth Alvarado,
Jafar Yahya, and Bro Sit naing Elijah our current church
co-worker who is also in-charge of the music ministry.
Like other Christian Churches, the mission of our church is to love God with all of its heart, strength and mind- which is the most important commandment according to Matthew 22:37; and to share the Good News of Salvation to others that had been said in Mark 16:15.
